Preface
Paws Câlins offers a home care service for dogs, cats and NAC (new pets) and dog walks. Accepted animals are dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, birds and fish. Paws Câlins accepts category 2 dogs (on condition you provide the necessary documents).

These general terms and conditions of sale apply exclusively between the company Paws Câlins, represented by Lauren Vose (hereinafter “Paws Câlins”), and any person ordering one or more services for an animal of which they are the owner (hereinafter “the client”). These conditions will be sent to the client at the same time as the quote and will be accepted upon signature of the quote. This implies unreserved acceptance of these conditions by the client.
Hours of operation
Telephone contact is available 7 days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Preliminary visits and home visits take place between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Multiple visits per day are possible.
Night care is available from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. These hours may vary depending on the client’s needs and Paws Câlins’ availability.
If Paws Câlins takes time off, it will notify the client as soon as possible via social media.
Geographic area
Paws Câlins travels throughout the Dordogne region. Walks take place around the client’s home. If car travel to the walk site is necessary, additional kilometres will be charged at 30 cents per kilometre.
Rates
In accordance with Article 293B of the French General Tax Code, VAT is not applicable for sole proprietorships.
The current rates are those displayed on www.pawscalins.fr. Paws Câlins reserves the right to modify its rates at any time, with the understanding that once a quote has been accepted, no rate changes can be made.
The rates indicated are valid within a 20km radius of 24750 Trélissac. 30 cents per additional kilometer traveled will be charged to the customer (example: if the customer lives 25km away, they will be charged an additional 10km for the round trip, i.e., €3 in addition to the displayed rate). The rates for extras in the “Little Extras” section are not affected by the number of kilometers traveled.
A 50% surcharge per pet will be applied for 3 or more dogs at the same time, and for 5 or more other pets (except fish).
A 25% increase will be applied for visits and guards taking place on December 25 and January 1.
Payment terms
Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and bank transfers (bank details on quote).
A pre-visit is mandatory for all first-time services at a cost of €5. This will be invoiced and must be paid on the day of the visit, even if the client does not wish to continue after the appointment, to cover Paws Câlins’ travel expenses.
A 50% deposit will be paid on the day of the pre-visit if the client wishes to continue with the service, and the remaining balance will be paid no later than the start of the service.
Reservations
Reservations can be made either by phone or by email via the Contact section by filling out the form. Following the initial contact, a free quote will be sent to the client with the general conditions herein. The reservation will then be taken into account for 7 days, during which time the quote must be accepted, otherwise the reservation will be canceled. Once the quote is accepted, the client will be contacted within 72 hours to schedule the mandatory pre-visit appointment. During this visit, we will get to know you and your pet, you will give me a copy of your keys (possibility of keeping the keys for the year free of charge), you will pay the €5 pre-visit and the 50% deposit. This pre-visit is mandatory only for the first visit, Paws Câlins and the client will agree on a method for handing over the keys and paying the deposit for future visits (if a visit by Paws Câlins is necessary, this will be charged €5).
Withdrawal period, modifications and cancellation
In accordance with Article L121-20 of the French Consumer Code, the withdrawal period is 14 business days.
• If the pre-visit has already been carried out, it remains the customer’s responsibility, and the deposit will be refunded.
• If the withdrawal period is not respected, the 50% deposit will not be refunded to the customer.
• If the customer cancels less than 48 hours before the start of the service, the customer will be required to pay the 50% deposit.
• If the customer cancels during the service, the service will be payable in full.
• If Paws Câlins cancels the service, all amounts already paid will be refunded to the customer.
• If the customer wishes to change the dates of services already booked, they must inform Paws Câlins as soon as possible so that they can make arrangements. Paws Câlins reserves the right to refuse modifications or to cancel the service if it is not in line with its availability.
Visit procedure
Paws Câlins undertakes to comply with and fulfill all general and specific terms and conditions selected by the client. The client can select additional services in the Little Extras section. The basic services provided for each visit:
• Replenishing water and food, and ensuring the cleanliness of bowls
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the pet’s basket/beds
• Walking, always on a leash, around the client’s home or at a location chosen by both parties (additional kilometers will be charged) and cleaning paws in wet weather
• Daily cleaning of the litter box and weekly disinfection
• Daily cleaning of the cage/playpen and weekly disinfection
• Cleaning of the aquarium/aviary according to the client’s instructions
• Brushing, eye and ear hygiene
• Ventilation of your home
• Sending photos and videos of your pet either by text or email
• And of course, lots of cuddles and kisses (except for the fish, you’ll excuse me)!
Responsibilities of Paws Câlins
Paws Câlins declares that it is covered by MAAF professional liability insurance.
Paws Câlins declares that it has obtained the necessary certification to practice its business, ACACED for dogs, cats, and exotic pets (ACAED) No. 2025/5c69-514c.
Paws Câlins undertakes to keep confidential all information related to the client’s identity and residence.
Paws Câlins undertakes to use only those items and products in the client’s home that are necessary for the care of the animal during daytime visits.
Paws Câlins undertakes to change the sheets on the bed provided for the client’s overnight stay, provided that they are provided by the client.
Paws Câlins undertakes to clean surfaces after use (toilets, sinks, etc.) provided they are clean upon arrival, using the products provided by the client for overnight stays.
Paws Câlins undertakes to report any anomalies noted to the client.
Paws Câlins will not be held responsible if the animal causes damage outside of service hours.
Paws Câlins will not be held responsible if the animal is injured outside of service hours.
Paws Câlins will not be held responsible if the animal, having access to the outdoors, is not in the home upon arrival, and if it runs away or is injured outside of service hours.
Paws Câlins will call its primary health veterinarian if the regular veterinarian is unavailable in an emergency; Dr. Besse at the Clinique des Cigognes veterinary practice, Rue Beethoven, 24420 Antonne-et-Trigonant.
Paws Câlins will strictly adhere to the veterinary prescription provided by the client, or by the veterinarian in an emergency, when administering treatment to the animal. Paws Câlins will therefore not be held responsible for any problems or worsening of the condition following treatment.
Paws Câlins will not be held responsible in the event of the animal’s natural death.
Paws Câlins undertakes to provide treats for all animals and poop bags for walks with each service.
Customer obligations
The client agrees to be of legal age and the owner of the animal.
The client agrees not to request services for animals less than 8 weeks old.
The client agrees to deworm and treat their pet for fleas and ticks regularly.
The client agrees to report to Paws Câlins any health risks if the animal is carrying a contagious disease, whether for animals or humans.
The client agrees to provide all necessary equipment for the service to run smoothly:
• Up-to-date health record
• Collar/harness, leash, and/or carrier
• Muzzle, aptitude certificate, and behavioral assessment for Category 2 dogs
• Enough food for the entire service
• Daily cleaning supplies (litter, routine cleaning products, trash bag, etc.)
• Daily care supplies (e.g., brush for long-haired pets) and for the selected options (e.g., shampoo for bathing)
• Medications for treatments
• Contact information for the regular veterinarian
• A bed or sofa bed with the necessary linens for overnight stays
The client agrees to reimburse Paws Câlins for all additional costs (e.g., the cost of litter or food) if the client does not provide enough for the entire service and Paws Câlins is in the the obligation to purchase additional supplies) upon presentation of an invoice and a €5 travel fee.
The customer agrees to reimburse all veterinary fees and treatments in the event of an emergency appointment upon presentation of an invoice. Veterinary travel expenses will be covered by Paws Câlins.
Intellectual Property
Paws Câlins will request permission to use and distribute your pet’s photos and videos to promote its business on its website and social media. If the permission is granted, Paws Câlins cannot be held responsible for any fraudulent use by a third party. If the permission is refused, the photos and videos will be sent only to the customer and then permanently deleted by Paws Câlins.
